Introducing Jaci and Dallas, we are so excited for these two to tie the knot on November 14, 2020, at The French Farmhouse Venue!
How did you and Dallas meet?
Dallas and I met in college (Boomer!). We had a bunch of mutual friends and had crossed paths many times before, but really where it all began was OU/Texas weekend of 2015. Our story is truly all thanks to the Lord because neither of us believed we were in the right places in our lives to date when we met and we were hot messes at first (…well I was more of a mess than he was). Loooong story short, this corny guy asked for my number after he had gotten separated from his friends the night before the OU/Texas game. We were supposed to all meet up again later, but that never got to happen! He did, however, make sure to call me and let me know After that we would talk every now and then, we would keep somehow seeing each other and running into each other more often and more often, we eventually went to a few date parties together, and finally our first official date two months later. It was one of the most fun nights we’d ever had, and I don’t think we stopped laughing the entire time. Thank goodness for my patient fiancé, the Sooners, and our faithful God!!!!
How/when did he propose?
(Dallas decided to type this one haha): We got engaged on December 31, 2019! While Jaci was preoccupied trying to figure out our trip I surprised her with, I had been making plans all behind her back on what would be the most incredible day that we got to unfold together. A day after we landed in Lake Tahoe she was pretty proud of herself because she had guessed correctly on where we were visiting. We got in on December 30th and the next morning I woke up early with my sister’s boyfriend (shoutout to Phoenix Hook and Kevin Jasemine) to scout out and decorate the location that I would ask her to marry me. We all got to breakfast that morning and were “suggested” to go snowshoeing after at this really pretty trail that is privately owned by the nicest family. The suggestion was a hit with Jaci and she was beyond excited to finally go snowshoeing because it’s something she’s always wanted to do. Little did she know we weren’t going snowshoeing at all…I got to walk her through the woods where Phoenix, Kevin, and I had set up everything. It was so much fun getting to see her reaction since she had no idea this would all happen so fast because we had just arrived in Lake Tahoe late the night before. We walked through print outs of our first 35 dates, pictures from our four years of dating, and ended under an arch where I asked her to marry me! Our photographer (Rachael Lambirth Photography) captured everything perfectly and it was so cool to experience it all work out beautifully.
Why did you choose the French Farmhouse Venue?
Oh my goodness we fell in love with the venue, the owners, and how Christ is centered in it all! This venue was the first that Dal and I toured together, and we had many others lined up after seeing it…buttt we knew immediately we were supposed to get married at this sweet place and we canceled all others! The owners having the most beautiful vision for the architecture and décor are also a bonus! WE CAN’T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER 14, 2020!!!
What are you most excited about getting married?
So much!!!! We are excited for how the Lord will use this holy gift of marriage. We are excited to see where He takes us together. We are excited to grow together, to be forever roomies, to raise a family, and navigate through life as husband and wife!
