Ally & Drew

Some weddings are beautiful. Some are memorable. And then there are weddings that stop the entire North Texas wedding industry in its tracks and earn the title of Wedding of the Year. Ally and Drew’s celebration at The French Farmhouse Venue was exactly that — a garden-inspired, color-drenched, joy-filled day that we will never, ever forget.

Getting Ready

The morning started in our bridal suite — and it was already picture-perfect before the dress even came out. Ally sat on the tufted sage velvet sofa surrounded by her mother, her little flower girl, and her bridesmaids, all wearing the most darling blue hydrangea floral pajama sets with white ruffle trim. Ally wore a crisp white ruffle-collar set, champagne flutes in hand, the ornate gold mirror and antique limestone mantle glowing behind them. The whole room felt like a page out of a French countryside magazine.

Drew's first look reaction as Ally walks toward him in her strapless A-line gown with a cathedral train, in front of the chapel's towering floral arch of coral, peach, blue, and white blooms with the floor-to-ceiling windows behind them

The First Look

The first look happened inside the chapel — and Drew’s reaction said everything. Arms wide open, face lit up, completely undone. Ally walked toward him in a breathtaking strapless A-line gown with a deep V back, delicate spaghetti straps, and a cathedral train that pooled behind her on the gold lattice tile floor. Behind them, the floral arch by Gathered Events DFW was already a masterpiece — a towering, asymmetrical cascade of coral garden roses, peach ranunculus, blue hydrangeas, white peonies, and trailing greenery framing our ornate antique arch. The floor-to-ceiling windows flooded the space with natural light. It was cinematic.

Ally laughing as their golden retriever wearing a pink floral collar jumps up on her lap at the chapel altar steps, Drew smiling beside her, with the floral arch and windows behind them

And then — the golden retriever. Wearing a pink floral collar and absolutely stealing the show, their pup bounded up to Ally at the altar steps and covered her in kisses while she laughed the kind of laugh that fills a whole room. Drew watched with the biggest smile. It was completely unscripted, completely perfect, and one of the most joyful moments we’ve ever witnessed in this chapel.

Wide shot of The French Farmhouse chapel ceremony setup — soaring cathedral ceilings with exposed wood beams and gold chandeliers, white Chiavari chairs lining the aisle, wicker baskets overflowing with blue, white, coral, and green hydrangeas on the floor, and the colorful floral arch at the altar

The Ceremony

The chapel was transformed into something truly extraordinary. Our soaring cathedral ceilings, exposed wood beams, and gold candelabra chandeliers provided the perfect canvas — and Gathered Events DFW painted it with color. Wicker baskets overflowing with blue, white, coral, and green hydrangeas lined every row of white Chiavari chairs, creating a garden-market feel that was unlike anything we’d seen before. The aisle runner featured our signature gold lattice tile pattern, and the arch at the altar was a full floral installation that guests couldn’t stop photographing. Dallas Asian Strings provided the ceremony music, filling the space with the most beautiful live sound as guests arrived.

Ally's bridesmaids in a mix of blue and white floral print gowns and solid dusty blue satin dresses in various styles — one-shoulder, halter, spaghetti strap, cutout — holding bouquets of blue delphinium, white tulips, and coral garden roses, standing beside the floral arch with tears in their eyes watching the ceremony

The bridesmaids were a vision in a curated mix of blue and white floral print gowns and solid dusty blue satin dresses — each in a different silhouette, each perfectly coordinated. One-shoulder, halter, spaghetti strap, cutout — every style represented, every girl stunning. Their bouquets ranged from blue delphinium to white tulips to coral garden roses, all designed by Gathered Events DFW. And the look on their faces as Ally walked down the aisle? Pure, unfiltered emotion. Several were already in tears.

Ally and Drew's first kiss in the chapel aisle, guests on both sides cheering and clapping, the floral arch and floor-to-ceiling windows glowing behind them, Ally's cathedral veil fanning out, her white bouquet held at her side

The first kiss. The room erupted. Guests on both sides of the aisle were on their feet, clapping, cheering, some wiping tears. Ally’s cathedral veil fanned out behind her, her all-white bouquet of garden roses and hydrangeas held at her side, the floral arch and the trees beyond the windows glowing in the afternoon light. Carmela Joy Photography captured it all — every tear, every smile, every single perfect second.

The Portraits

Outside the chapel, the portraits were nothing short of editorial. Drew in a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie and white pocket square, Ally in her strapless A-line gown with the cathedral train spread across the concrete drive — the two of them standing apart, looking at each other, framed by the chapel’s white steeple, gothic arched windows, and the canopy of mature oak trees overhead. Pink roses bloomed in the foreground. The whole image looks like it belongs in a magazine — because it does.

Drew singing into a microphone with his arm around Ally on the reception dance floor, the Royal Dukes Band performing behind them on a white fluted stage, low garden arrangements of hydrangeas and coral roses lining the stage frontAerial view of the reception hall with long farm tables in white lace and dusty blue linen, cane-back bistro chairs, low garden centerpieces of hydrangeas and coral roses, taper candles, and scattered citrus fruit, the wedding cake on the mantle in the background

The Reception

The reception hall was a masterclass in garden-party elegance. Long farm tables were dressed in a mix of white lace and dusty blue linen from BBJ La Tavola, lined with cane-back bistro chairs. Low garden centerpieces of hydrangeas, coral roses, and green viburnum were scattered with taper candles and fresh citrus fruit — lemons, limes, and pears — for a market-fresh feel that was completely unique. The wedding cake by Ruthi Hutson Cakes sat on the antique mantle, surrounded by white hydrangeas. The custom blue dance floor by Imperial Floors anchored the room, and the Royal Dukes Band performed on a white fluted stage — and at one point, Drew grabbed the mic and sang to Ally right there on the floor. The whole room lost it.

Liquid Love Co. kept the drinks flowing, Melt Ice Creams and Magnify Coffee Catering kept the late-night crowd happy, and Pyrotexus made sure the send-off was absolutely unforgettable. Every single detail — from the Lindsey Ellen Paper Co. stationery to the Posh Couture Rentals furniture to the Nuage Designs draping — was intentional, cohesive, and extraordinary.

Congratulations, Ally & Drew — Wedding of the Year is an honor well earned. We are so proud to call this day ours.
