Where is The French Farmhouse Venue located?

We are nestled on 56 acres in the Mountain Springs Community on the edge of Lake Ray Roberts — about one hour north of Dallas and thirty minutes north of Denton, Texas. Our address is 1415 CR 215, Collinsville, Texas 76233.

We specialize in weddings and wedding-related events including rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and bridal showers. We also host select corporate and private events.

What are the hours the bride has the venue?

9AM–12AM (15 hours). We require the send-off to be complete by 11PM and all vendors out by 12AM.

Our venue can comfortably accommodate up to 250 guests. Please contact us for specific capacity details based on your event layout. We recommend an invite max of 250.

Yes! Our stunning white chapel is available for ceremonies and is included with venue rental. It seats up to 250 guests and features beautiful natural light and elegant architecture.

Do you require a deposit to hold a date?

Yes, a deposit is required to secure your event date. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be outlined in your contract.

Do you have a preferred vendor list?

Yes! We have a curated list of preferred vendors — caterers, photographers, florists, DJs, and more — who are familiar with our venue and have a proven track record. Check our Resources page for details.

Can I bring in outside vendors?

We allow outside vendors in most categories, though some restrictions may apply (such as catering). Please discuss your vendor plans with us during the planning process. The only vendor we require you to book of ours is our partnered bartending company, Professional Partiers.

Is catering provided on-site?

We do not provide in-house catering, but we work with a number of excellent preferred caterers. You are also welcome to bring in your own licensed and insured caterer.

Do you allow alcohol at events?

Yes, alcohol is permitted at events. All alcohol must be served by our partner bartending company, Professional Partiers.

Is there a day-of coordinator included?

No, we do not provide a day-of coordinator. We do have Venue Staff on property at all times — from before you arrive on your wedding day until after everyone is gone. We require all of our couples to have a day-of coordinator at a minimum, and that coordinator must not be a family member or wedding guest.

What time can vendors begin setting up?

Venue access for the bride and all vendors begins at 9AM. The send-off is required to be completed by 11PM, and all guests and vendors must be out by 12AM.

Is the venue pet-friendly?

We love animals! Pets may be permitted for certain outdoor portions of your event. Please discuss your plans with us in advance so we can accommodate appropriately.

What should we do, rehearsal-wise, if there is a wedding the night before my big day?

Most rehearsals happen off-site the night before, or on-site the day-of without the bride. This takes the stress off of the night before so you can enjoy your rehearsal dinner. If you decide on a day-of rehearsal, we would recommend having everyone meet at the chapel with your planner around noon (or whenever all the groomsmen arrive). This is a great time for the bride to do her hair and make-up.

Are real flame candles allowed?

Yes, we just require you to have glass two inches over the wick.

What is the cost of security?

$300. However, if the time from ceremony to send-off goes over 6 hours it will be an additional $50 per hour.

What tables do you have?

We have 10 Farmhouse Tables (8 feet by 40 inches), 20 - 60" plastic rounds, and 5 - 48" plastic rounds (rounds will require linens). We also have 3 - 6-foot and 8-foot plastic tables, which are typically used for caterers and/or DJs.

What cocktail tables do you have?

We have 7 high boys and 2 low boys. These do not require linens, but you may use them if you choose. We typically do a mix of these inside the porch and outside under the pavilion.

What time must alcohol stop serving?

Alcohol must stop being served 30 minutes prior to send-off. For example, if your send-off is at 10:45 PM, we will stop serving alcohol at 10:15 PM.

Who provides water?

Typically your caterer will provide water. However, have a game plan for when the caterers leave. If they are leaving early, we would recommend having water bottles at the bar.

Yes, we have a 600-pound ice machine in the venue kitchen. Our kitchen also has a warmer, a commercial fridge, two roller coolers, two prep tables, and a sink.

When should we have everything ready for you?

Please have your planner send your floor plan, timeline, and vendors list at least 10 days before your wedding. We will send you a Final Wedding Questionnaire 30 days before your wedding via Planning Pod — please fill it out once you have your final RSVP count.

Can we take bridals at the venue?

Yes! Once you know when your dress will be completed, coordinate with your hair & make-up team and photographer to find a day that works for everyone. Please note that hair & make-up will need to be done off-site for bridals.

To the right of the bar on the granite is a great place to set up self-serve tea and water.

Where do caterers and bartenders take their trash?

Mid-wedding, we will park our trash truck outside the kitchen. Your bartenders and caterers can put all trash in the back of it, and we will take care of the rest.

In the chapel, the DJ can set up on the balcony or down on the main floor behind the chairs at the back of the room, on either side.

We recommend starting with the guest book at the chapel on the buffet in the entry, then moving it to cocktail hour after the ceremony. That is also a great place for cards and gifts — your planner can move them to the bridal suite afterward.

We will custom create your chapel floor plan before your wedding day using up to 250 chairs.

Do DJs need to have a setup in the chapel?

Yes, DJs will have a small setup in the chapel and then move over to the main area where their big setup will be. The chapel is approximately one football field away from the venue. The DJ can set up either on the balcony or the main floor, behind the chairs, on the right or left.

How big is the greenery wall, and how do we hang things on it?

The greenery wall is 8'×8'. We recommend using clear zip ties to hang items on it.

What size neon sign do you recommend?

Because the greenery wall is 8'×8', we recommend your neon sign be about 4 feet long so it takes up roughly half the wall space.

We have cornhole and putt-putt available for your guests to enjoy during cocktail hour.

Yes, the mobile bar is included for cocktail hour. Please check with your bartenders to make sure they do not charge an additional fee for a second set-up.

How can we avoid long lines at the bar right after the ceremony?

You can check with your bartending company about adding an extra bartender to pass drinks during cocktail hour.

Sparklers, bubbles, light wands, and similar items are welcome! Nothing loose leaf — no confetti, bird seed, etc.

What helps with cleaning up?

Before your photographer arrives, have both the bridesmaids and groomsmen clean their areas. This ensures prettier photos and means you won't have to deal with cleaning up the suites at the end of the evening. Have a game plan for where the leftover alcohol is going, and know whether your florist will be coming back — typically they do return and gather everything, and we highly recommend this! If they aren't coming back, have a plan for who is going to help and who wants what.
