Drum Roll Please…Introducing Nick and Danielle!! The second we met these two we fell in love and we can’t wait for these two to say “I Do” in front of their family and friends on October 3, 2020! We can’t wait to see this couple grow & continue to do life together!
How did y’all meet?
It all started back in the Summer of 2011, when we were 14 and getting ready to start high school together. We had never met before high school, but knew of each other through mutual friends and of course Facebook. The first time we officially met was at our high school football game before school started and I (Danielle) could not stop thinking about the cute boy from Cross Timber’s middle school and asked all my friends about him. Turns out on the first day of school we had lunch together, where we were constantly goofing around with each other (Danielle would always steal snacks from Nicks lunch), then we proceeded to cheer each other on during our freshman basketball games and go on many dates to the movies, with our parents taking us everywhere we went of course! A few months later nick asked me to be his girlfriend on 10/13/2011 and we have been together ever since!!
How/when did Nick propose ?
November 30th, 2019! My Mom had told me a few days prior that my Uncle, who was in town for Thanksgiving, was going to take a few quick pics of my family with his nice camera for our Christmas card. I did not expect anything out of the ordinary, I put on a dress, did my makeup and curled my hair that Saturday morning, having no idea that this would be one of the most special days in my life!
My mom also told me that she invited Nick to come take pictures with us, which again I did not think was out of the ordinary, as Nick is already a part of our family! We went to the Grapevine Botanical Gardens (Nick pretended like he didn’t know where it was) to meet up with my uncle and the rest of my family. My Uncle showed us the spot that he thought would be the best place for pictures and set my family up for the perfect Christmas card photo. After he got a few shots, Nick jumped in for a picture with me…that is when he turned and looked at me and started speaking the most kind and thoughtful words about our relationship over the last 9 years. I still did not believe it until he got down on one knee and I saw the gorgeous ring he had picked out for me! It was so meaningful and I was in tears the whole time.
The rest of the night was filled was so much joy and celebration with all of the people that have made an impact on our relationship over the last 9 years. Our friends came from Kansas, Illinois, Washington D.C, Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and more to be there with us on this special day. Nick coordinated the whole day and I had no clue that all of our people were waiting to surprise me after the engagement. It was AMAZING! The whole day felt like a dream and we felt so loved.
Why did you choose The French Farmhouse Venue?
The French Farmhouse is so unique and charming and unlike any other venue in the DFW area. We instantly had a good feeling about the venue and have a wonderful picture of what it will be like on our wedding day, even without the physical structure being there yet, which is crazy! It just goes to show how amazing this venue is going to be. There are so many special and wonderful parts about the French Farmhouse and each has been meticulously planned. Nick and I are so lucky we get to be apart of watching the French Farmhouse come up from the ground and we love the meaning behind it all!
What are you most excited about getting married?
Nick: I am very excited to embark on the journey of marriage with Danielle. I know that no matter how high or low things get that we will always have our love for each other. I cannot wait to see how God blesses our marriage for the rest of our lives. And I am so excited to see how beautiful Danielle will look in her wedding dress.
Danielle: Marriage is such an amazing gift from God, and I am so happy that I will get to call Nick my husband forever! I am really excited to make our commitment to each other through our vows, because that is my favorite part of every wedding. Hopefully I will be able to hold back some tears and get the words out!
