The summer weddings are in full swing, and we are in absolute heaven! June has been a VERY busy month full of some stunning weddings. In the mix are Noah and Hailey! Their wedding is so classic and gorgeous it is going to blow your mind. Get ready!

Classic

We cannot say enough about Noah and Hailey! These two have been an absolute delight to have around, and their wedding day was just dreamy. Wedding days are magical in so many ways, and we have come to look forward to some specific moments throughout the day. One of them is when our bride gets to go and see the chapel after being in the venue all morning. Their face seeing their vision come to life is always such a special moment. Hailey was SO excited, and rightfully so. Her florists did the most beautiful and classic arrangements. The Chapel was totally transformed. Her face says it all!

Bring on the Rentals

There were some really incredible pieces to this day. Hailey and Noah totally transformed the venue by bringing in some rentals. They brought in their own chairs for all the tables at the reception, all of their glassware/ flatware and even the amazing blue booths. All of that paired with the blue checkerboard dance floor and their unbelievable florals really made their vision come to life.

Thank you Noah and Hailey for choosing the Farmhouse for your big day. We are so thankful, and could not be happier for you!

Spring to Summer

This time of year is so fun at the venue! All of the bright colors are being brought back in for the spring and summer months, and we could not love it more. Our beautiful bride, Sydney, really had a beautiful, timeless and glamorous vision that she wanted to bring to life. And, we have got to say, we think she nailed it. Just look at the colors in the girls’ boquets next to all of their dresses. Unbelievably gorgeous!

A Moment for the Dance Floor

We always say it is the small details that make a day special, and put it over-the-top. The dance floor isn’t really small, but oh my gosh. Could it be any cooler?! When Lawson Event Rentals started laying the vinyl on top of the floor they brought in… we could not have loved it more. The black and white was the perfect touch to bring the whole vibe together.

We could not be happier to share with you all this stunning brunch wedding for Gracie and Harden! Every single moment and detail was perfectly planned for these two, and their day was really a beautiful celebration of their love.

Love Story

Gracie and Harden are a couple of the most delightful people around, along with their families. Truly, they were such a treat to have in the venue. One of the coolest parts of working wedding days is hearing from friends and family how our couples came to be. From what we heard, Gracie and Harden met in middle school and have been together ever since! All of their siblings were in the wedding party, and every single person there couldn’t hold in how much they loved them. It was pretty darn magical to see.

A Destination Brunch Wedding

Every single wedding day is special and unique, but there are definitely some elements of Gracie and Harden’s that stand out! Number one is that all of them are from Mississippi! Gracie and Harden decided they wanted a small, intimate, destination wedding. So, they packed up their friends and family and made the trek out to the French Farmhouse. This was SO fun to hear, and even cooler that they decided to make a weekend out of it.

The other stand-out feature of their wedding day is that they decided to have a brunch ceremony. This definitely made for an early morning, especially for the ladies, but it was an absolute blast. They had Catered Roots out to bring breakfast for the wedding party, and then they cooked brunch for everyone. Complete with an omelette station and a pancake station. Let us tell you, the spread was a major crowd-pleaser.

Everyone, meet Kenny and Cathleen Head! Two of the nicest people around, who had one of the most special days at the French Farmhouse. You are going to LOVE the pops of color and how much love was spread throughout this day. It was stunning.

Details, Details, Details 

The beauty is in the details, we really mean it! Any small touch that you can add to make the day more “you” will really send your wedding day over the top. Plus, your guests will notice that it is a piece of you. It is always fun to see the “detail shots” from our couple’s wedding days. For Cathleen, we get to see her shoes, ring, florals and invitations. For Kenny, it was his ring, his shoes and his watch. Classic and simple. One day when their kids, nieces or nephews find their wedding album, they will see Kenny’s watch and Cathleen’s ring and know how special it was to the beginning of this chapter of their lives.

Special Moments

One thing we have been loving is the “First Touch.” This goes in place of a first look, and is a great way to have a private moment together, without doing the “big reveal!” This is a super special way to take a minute, breathe together, and chat before you see each other, but still have that big moment when the doors open for the bride to walk down the aisle.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Bradshaw had a wedding to write home about!! Mary Gracen and Zachary had one of the most beautiful days, and they really filled it to the brim with love and as much laughter as they could. Let us tell you, these two are FUN and really made a point to embrace their wedding day and have the best time possible!!

Brides Just Wanna Have Fun!

We weren’t joking when we said that these two were a blast, and really made time for fun on their day. Mary Gracen was all smiles from the minute she got to the Venue with her girls, and at one point was jumping for joy on the bridal suite couch. She even got her squad in on the action, and you could hear them laughing from a mile away. Those are, truly, some of the moments we love most!! Everyone making the most of their time together is one of the best parts of the wedding day magic.

On top of that, everywhere you looked there was something unique to the Bradshaw’s. Like Mary Gracen’s cool dog socks and her boots! Those tiny things are the pieces of the day that put your personality into it!

Wedding Day Life Hacks

To say we are obsessed with the Bradshaw’s florals is a major understatement! They really went all out, and had some STUNNING arrangements. One thing we love that they did was repurpose the floral arrangements from their ceremony at the reception. All of the big vases and even the tower pieces from the altar were repurposed and given a new home for everyone to enjoy at the reception.

There is nothing quite like getting the party going after being at the venue all day! It is crazy how much crowds love things like glow sticks and hats for the dance floor. It is a surefire way to get people out there, moving and grooving.

Congratulations Mary Gracen and Zachary!! We couldn’t be happier for you, or more thankful that you are a Farmhouse Couple!

WOW! The brand new Mr. and Mrs. De Loach are here and they had an absolutely breathtaking wedding day. Not only did we have the best time hanging out with Sophia and Joshua, but their day was spectacular and will leave you speechless. You are going to be obsessed with their perfect spring wedding!

Spectacular Spring

When Sophia let us in on her vision, and we heard she wanted bright colors, we could not have been more excited. It is really a massive treat to see how each couple transforms the venue, and we LOVE when they want to play around with bright, spring colors. Just look at their florals! It is also such a fun touch when bridesmaids get to mix and match dresses. It lets your best girls have a sprinkle of their personalities on your big day. And, this group totally knocked it out of the park. Stunning!

Icing on the Cake

We always, always encourage couples to focus on the things that are important to them on their wedding day. Those special “extras” that make the day more “you”, are also the things your guests will love and appreciate. They are there because they love you, and want to celebrate you… so make your day as “you” as you can! The De Loach’s really did this!

At their ceremony, they had an incredible harpist playing. We are obsessed with live strings and harpists in the Chapel, they really add magical ambiance to the ceremony.

During cocktail hour and reception, they had a photo booth on the turf and a drink cart. Both of these are so fun, and are always a hit!

Wedding Party

One thing was instantly clear about Alyza, Matt and their bridal party- these people adore each other. Each and every single one of them was having the best day, and really doing the most to be there with their friends on their big day. It is always SO fun to see how the parties are when you get them in their big group shots, and this whole squad was all laughs. We could not have had any more fun watching them enjoy each other and the day!

Keep it Timeless

Aren’t you just obsessed with the details of this day?! The Chan’s really knew where to add their special touches, and knew what would be memorable for them and their guests. Starting with those personal details, like their wedding day scent. Smell is one of those things, it can really transport you back to a moment in time. By adding a “signature scent” to your wedding day, any time you use that perfume or cologne you will be remembering your big day and the joy you had!

The florals… just jaw-dropping. Seeing the floral pieces in the Chapel for the first time… everyone stopped in their tracks. They were the perfect, timeless piece to add to the ceremony just to make it a little more them. Truly stunning!

Everyone… Meet the Burkes! These two are an absolute blast, and could not be more lovely to be around. We could not be happier that they chose the French Farmhouse for their big day. Here are some STUNNING bridals and couple’s portraits. You are really going to have to pick your jaw up off the ground.

Bridals

Bridal portraits are SO fun. Not only are they a rite of passage as a bride, but boy are they a great way to spend a day. Jordan, this beautiful bride was just made for a bridal shoot. Can you believe how gorgeous? To have a bridal session at the French Farmhouse we recommend waiting to schedule until you know when your dress will be ready. Once final alterations are done, or you have a date- reach out to your photographer, hair and makeup team and get a day on the books that works for the 3 of you. From there, let us know and we can get you access to the venue. This will usually be a Tuesday or Wednesday, just because of availability. Not only will you have some amazing photos for the rest of your life, but it is a darn fun way to spend an afternoon.

B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

The only thing more fun than those bridal shots- YOUR NEWLYWED SHOTS! There is nothing quite as magical as that hour after you and your groom are married, and you get to spend some time together. You can really see the love, and just wow. You will be looking back on these when you are old and grey- reminiscing about your wedding day.

We are excited to share with you the new Mr. and Mrs. Kistler! These two are such a treat and really went above and beyond to make their day unique, and SO sentimental. You are probably going to shed a tear or two when you hear about the incredible surprise Courtney pulled off for Dylan!

Sentimental Surprise

Courtney and Dylan met a few years ago when they were both students at Vanderbilt! While they were dating, Courtney lived all the way across campus and would ask Dylan to meet her at a specific door. When he would get there he would always text her saying he was at their “special door.” It became their spot, and when Dylan was planning on popping the question- he decided the door was the perfect spot! As a wedding gift, Courtney emailed the chancellor of Vanderbilt and asked if they could have the door shipped from Nashville to Dallas for their wedding. That is what you see on the altar!

I mean.. how amazing is that? Moments and sentimental touches like this are what really make a wedding day! Not only is it so so thoughtful, but how amazing to have such a beautiful piece of their history right there on their biggest day yet!

When you think it Can’t get any Better

The weather on the Kistler’s big day was INCREDIBLE. The boys showed up and got to spend some time playing cornhole and doing a bit of putting on the turf. We always love to see the guys hanging out outside before the photos and the ceremony start.

The ceremony… come on. We LOVE flower grandmas, and these two loved being flower girls. They were living for it!

One moment we will never get tired of is watching our couples ring the bell at the chapel! It is hard to explain, but the couple is just so thrilled to be married, they are usually surrounded by their loved ones and their guests get to hear the bell on their walk to cocktail hour. It is just magical!

Happy 2023! Another year with some incredible, memorable weddings on the books, and we want to start out by sharing the stunning Schuttenhelm wedding! Jordan and Kyle came to play and had an absolutely unforgettable wedding day. You are going to be obsessed!

All The First Looks

Jordan is one sweet bride, and boy is she loved! We are all definitely used to seeing the traditional “first looks” with the groom, and the father of the bride. However, we could not have been more excited when Jordan wanted to do a first look with her bridesmaids AND the groomsmen. Recently there have been a lot of bridesmaid’s first looks, but the groomsmen one is new and SO fun! You can just see how much Jordan’s girls, and how much Kyle’s guys, love her too! All the boys were clapping and cheering for her the minute they turned around. It was a really fun moment, and one we are sure she will remember forever. (Also- the shot of Grandpa seeing Jordan for the first time was too special not to share!)

The BEST first look of all is when the double doors in the Chapel slide open, and the groom sees his bride for the first time. WOW. Kyle’s face said it all! It is always a really beautiful moment when the groom lays eyes on his bride for the first time in her dress.

Memorable P-A-R-T-Y

This party was EVERYTHING. We consider ourselves pros at gauging what a reception will be like, and we just knew that this crew would be a blast. Every last one of them was ready to roll and ready to hype their best girl and best guy up. And, boy was Jordan ready to go! She even changed into a party outfit that was to die for! And, like any good party- it is never really going until someone is thrown in the air.
