Perfect Little Details | Lauren and Jackson

Happy December, everyone! We are so so excited to share the new Mr. and Mrs. Strieby’s big day. Lauren and Jackson created such a beautiful, perfect and timeless day. You are going to LOVE it.

Big Day, Little Details

Right when the ladies showed up we could see that Lauren has an eye for the details. Her getting-ready PJs were ready and monogrammed with her new last initial. What a fun way to kick off a wedding! Then, all of the other details started rolling in. Stunning florals, beautiful copper place cards and a monogrammed dance floor… there was, truly, something special everywhere you looked. Plus- let’s not forget to take a moment for Lauren’s pearl gloves. We are OBSESSED.

Those Perfect Moments

One thing we have been seeing a lot that we never ever get tired of is all of the first looks. Lauren did a first look with her girls, then one with her dad and finally her first look with Jackson. Those are moments and photos, that you will always love looking back on and treasure. The perfect bonus before that is the moments the bride spends with her mom right before all of her first looks. They, usually, get almost everyone out of the room and spend a few minutes together getting the dress on and preparing for the rest of the day. It is such a special, and relaxing few minutes.

After Lauren and Jackson were officially married in the Chapel- the party was on! This group LOVED it. They handed out glasses, and foam glow sticks and partied until they couldn’t anymore. When it was time for the send-off, everyone lined up outside, bubbles in hand, and waited while Lauren and Jackson had their private last dance. Then they ran right off, officially husband and wife, and hopped into Lucy, the getaway car!

Congratulations Lauren and Jackson! You had such a beautiful day, and we are so so happy for you!

Beautiful Traditions | Christina and Stefan

Everyone say hello to the new Mr. and Mrs. Tsai! Christina and Stefan are such a lovely couple. They really brought tradition and personality together to their big day. You are going to love it!

Tradition

Right off the bat, we knew this would be a special day with a lot of beautiful moments. Christina and Stefan actually had three ceremonies! They had Vietnamese, Taiwanese and American ceremonies to honor the traditions of both sides of their families. Their American ceremony and reception were at the French Farmhouse, and we loved every second. They really kept their decor beautiful and minimal, while still incorporating incredible personal touches. They had a great photo-op on our greenery wall, where they hung a neon sign that said, “You’re my favorite.” We always love a neon sign moment, but this was especially fun because that is something they used to say to each other when they were dating. Another really fun thing they did was mix in some puns on their printed menu. Each guest had one at their place setting, and as they read they got a little chuckle.

Those Personal Touches

A fun fact about Christina is that she is a dog trainer! So, it was only right that her pup made an appearance on their big day. They got to have their first family portrait as a married couple, with Christina’s beloved pup. So fun!

If you are interested in having your dog be a part of your big day, we do allow them for photos and ceremony. You will just need to have someone on-site who brings them for photos and then takes them home, or somewhere else, after ceremony.

Christina and Stefan opted out of the traditional wedding cake for dessert! Instead, they had ice cream and boba. Recently, we have been seeing a lot of “second” desserts or a small cake with an extra dessert option on the side. Delicious AND fun!

Fun Farmhouse Couple | Shelbi and Garrett

Wow Wow! Another week, another incredible wedding to share with you all. This time we have a really fun couple, Shelbi and Garrett! These two were SO fun to have around and had a beautiful wedding. We just cannot wait for you to see it!

Fun Day at the Farmhouse

One thing we knew for sure was Shelbi and Garrett were going to have a whole lot of fun on their big day! These two were just so excited to have their wedding day come together and even more excited to get married! Shelbi and her girls rolled in early in the morning to start their glam, and they were just having the best time! Meanwhile, vendors were working hard to bring their vision to life downstairs.

We LOVED how they incorporated their furry friend into their big day. Their beloved pup wasn’t actually at the wedding, but any chance they could there was an homage to their furry family member. They had stir sticks at the bar and even had the pup painted on their custom champagne bottle. SO fun!

Stand Out Moments

There are certain parts of weddings at the Farmhouse that always stand out. One of those is that right after the couple is married, they’ve walked back down the aisle, and they get to ring the bell. It is the best!! They can’t stop smiling, and their wedding party is usually all around them. It really is such a special moment, and the photos are perfect.

Another stand-out moment is any first look! Bridesmaids, father of the bride, brother of the bride, grandma, grandpa- you name it. No matter who is on the other side, everyone in the room sheds a tear or two. It is just magical to be able to watch families and friends see their best girl dressed and ready to marry her best friend.

Congratulations Shebi and Garrett! We are so happy for you!

A Gorgeous Fall Wedding | Kirsten and Joshua

We have an absolutely jaw-dropping wedding to share with you guys!! Kirsten and Joshua had a gorgeous day that was so bright, colorful and fun! You are going to love it!!

Gorgeous Day for a Wedding

Kirsten and Joshua’s big day was right in that summer-to-fall switch, where you can go either way on weather and vibe. We are obsessed with the bright colors they chose, and the details they mixed in for that perfect transitional season vibe. They had vibrant floral runners, beautiful blue place settings and some stunning flowers.

After the ceremony, guests walked over to cocktail hour in the PERFECT weather and were greeted by beer donkeys, live music and custom-branded coasters for each of them on the seating chart, which doubled as an amazing favor.

Let’s Groove Tonight

When reception started all bets were off! The guests got their seats, and the bridal party made their big entrance through our south doors. We LOVE this, especially when the weather is nice. Everyone can line up outside, out of view of the guests, and make their big entrance to the party. Usually, the bride and groom will walk right into the dance floor and start their first dance!

After dinner, none other than the Jordan Kahn Music Company’s Manhattan Band got the party started! If there is one thing that is certain, it’s that a live band will get the party started and keep it going until the very end!

As a final surprise for their guests, Kirsten and Joshua had What-a-Burger brought in as a late-night snack. All their friends and family could grab a burger and a cookie on their way out the door!

It was a truly gorgeous and magical day, and we could not be more thrilled for the new Mr. and Mrs. Marten! Congratulations you guys, we are so happy for you!

Perfect Pink Party | Payton and Cash

Today’s wedding is SUCH a treat!! We are so happy to share the new Mr. and Mrs. Conder’s big day with you all! Payton and Cash had one of the most beautiful and joyous days. We just know that you are all going to be obsessed. Be ready to pick your jaw up off the ground.

Pink!

Watching Payton and Cash’s big day come together could not have been more of a treat. They are both such fun, loving and happy people that we just knew their day would be bright, bold and just as fun as they are. From the get-go, we were proved right. Payton asked that all vendors wear pink! And, right when her and her best girls showed up everything was just such a blast. They rolled up in their bright, colorful PJs and were ready to party! One amazing thing we want to note is that Payton asked her mom to be her matron of honor!  Another little bonus is that two of her bridesmaids are former French Farmhouse Brides! How special is that?

As the morning went on, more and more vendors were doing their thing- WOW. The venue and chapel really came to life and transformed into Payton and Cash’s dream day. The pink vinyl checkerboard aisle and dance floor blew us away. That alongside Payton’s custom wedding dress and the small custom pieces placed around really transformed the space into a place that screamed Payton and Cash!

P-A-R-T-Y

After a stunning ceremony, it was time to PARTY. And, like every other piece of the day- the new Mr. and Mrs. Conder had a few tricks up their sleeves. First- there were some incredible live musicians playing at cocktail hour. We LOVE live music anywhere, anytime at the venue- it just adds so much ambiance. Second- as the party got going, the bridesmaids surprised everyone by heading up to the bridal suite balcony that overlooks the dance floor and throwing off some Conder snapback hats. And, let me tell you the crowd LOVED it.

And, a little icing on the cake… Payton and her girls did a cheer number for the crowd. Everyone was so excited and ate it up! To round out the night, they did a pom-pom send-off to match! It was incredible, and every moment screamed Payton and Cash!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Conder! It was so special to be the venue for your big day!

One of Our Own | Kelsey and Matthew

WOW! It has officially been over a year since the stunning wedding of our own Kelsey and her husband Matt! It is always fun to watch one of your favorite people get married, and anyone who comes to the venue meets, and instantly falls in love with, Kelsey. We are SO excited to share her and Matt’s big day with you all!

An Experience

Like we said, if you have been to the French Farmhouse- you have met Kelsey! We were not shocked one bit when she started describing the bright colors and unique experiences she wanted for her big day. She was planning SO many things we had never seen at the Farmhouse. Kelsey and her girls got ready at a hotel in Plano, so once they arrived mid-day Kelsey got to do a “first look” at the Chapel with her Mom, our incredible owner, Michelle, by her side. This was such a special moment because Kelsey and Michelle have poured their hearts and souls into every inch of the French Farmhouse! Seeing their reaction was magical!

Kelsey and Matt really wanted to create an experience for their guests. They wanted it to feel special, and be a great party. From the moment guests arrived, it was just that. Guests strolling to the Chapel for ceremony were greeted by live musicians playing strings in the trees and glasses of champagne with the Thompsons monogram on the glasses.

Ceremony

We are absolutely biased, but this ceremony was perfect! Every ounce of it was Kelsey and Matt. Their personalities, the florals and the Chapel being packed to the brim…it could not have been more “them”! On top of it all, they had the cutest, furriest ring bearer who you may have seen on our Instagram before. This is Kelsey’s beloved pup Jax- we wouldn’t say he stole the show or anything, but he really had some memorable moments.

After Kelsey and Matt were officially announced as Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the turf behind the venue. The live musicians relocated for cocktail hour, and lounge seating was placed around a HUGE circular bar for guests to enjoy.

One BIG difference in Kelsey and Matt’s day compared to a typical FFH reception, is that the main venue was used only for dinner. Usually, couples eat and party in the main venue, but the Thompson’s had a trick up their sleeve.

The Flip of All Flips

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was after dinner. While guests were enjoying their delicious meal, the Chapel was being flipped for party time! A crew of 60+ people came in and completely transformed the chapel from a stunning Ceremony site to a room ready for a party! They installed a stage for the amazing Jordan Kahn Orchestra, the dance floor was laid, a dessert bar came in, coffee and regular bars were set up, a 360 photo booth and *the* cake was assembled.

Guests jaws were on the floor as they came in. They were greeted by a live band, and a completely transformed space!

It was one of the most special evenings celebrating the new Mr. and Mrs. Thompson, and one of the most fun parties the French Farmhouse has ever seen.

Congratulations, Kelsey and Matt! On behalf of the entire French Farmhouse team- we love you guys and are so happy for you! Thanks for letting us be a part of your big day!

Romantic Flowers | Jenna and Chase

It is official… Jenna and Chase are the new Mr. and Mrs. Rea! Woohoo! Not only did these two put so much time and thought into their big day, and what was important to them…. but, they looked great doing it! We are so thankful to have been able to see their day come together and are SO excited to share it with all of you. Once you see those flowers, you will see just why we are so obsessed!

Special From the Jump

Most wedding days at the Farmhouse start out with the Bride and her girls rolling up together, in their matching PJs or with their matching cups… and bursting at the seams, ready to celebrate their best girl. It is one of the best parts of the day! We really love to see what the bridesmaids and the sweet mothers of the couples do to make the bride feel as special as possible. One thing we see a lot, but brings the biggest smiles to the faces of our brides is to have “Bride” written on their coffee cups. It is such a small thing, and SO easy, but everyone loves it. Plus, it starts the day off on a high.

Flowers!

It is no secret that the flowers at a wedding can transform a space. Just look at the arrangements on the mantel that is behind the head table. Come on! So dreamy and romantic. The flowers will be everywhere in your photos, not only as decor but right down to the detail shots. One of the first things your photographer will do is take photos of your “details.” These are all of the tiny details that you won’t want to forget. Your rings, shoes, perfume and they often use flowers to make the photos come to life and match your decor. Just look at Jenna’s box of flowers with her rings on top. Stunning!

We also want to take a second to point out the incredible dresses the Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom wore. So gorg! If you are looking for great places to shop for Mom’s dresses– we have a great list on our Resources page.

Jenna and Chase- your day was so beautiful! We could not love how it turned out any more than we do. Thank you for trusting us to be your Venue! Congratulations!

Jaw-Dropping Details | Lacey and Drew

Summer is winding down, but the jaw-dropping weddings are not slowing down for a single second. Lacey and Drew-WOW! This was such a stunning day, with some of the most beautiful moments and special touches. The details are so unbelievable. You are going to be OBSESSED.

So Many Details

Watching this day come to life was such a dream. Lacey works as a wedding photographer, so we knew she would have an incredible vision. The second we saw her getting ready robe, we knew we were in for a treat with all the details. One of the biggest moments throughout their day was the florals! Everywhere you looked there were unbelievable arrangements. Just look at that head table!!

We always are excited to see each couple’s floorplans for their big day. Often they will have their head table in front of the mantel, or in front of the 3-ring door. However, we love how Lacey and Drew put the DJ in front of the mantel (with the coolest florals around) and put the head table across, on the other side of their dance floor!

Post-Ceremony

Everyone is always jazzed about the excitement that comes after the ceremony. Not only is that the party, but you are never 100% sure what kind of surprises a couple has planned.  Number one on the list was for Drew to put on his fresh white sneakers… everyone needs their dancing shoes! However, maybe one of the coolest things was Lacey and Drew’s “Bridgerton” moment with the cold sparklers around the dance floor! Just look at how amazing it was?!

Lacey and Drew- we could not be more in love with your big day, or more thankful that you are a French Farmhouse Couple! Congratulations!!

Magic in the Details | Hayden and Casey

To say we are obsessed with the weddings of summer 2023 is a major understatement! There have been so many incredible weddings that are full of magic. Including the new Mr. and Mrs. Lavigne! Hayden and Casey had a perfect day, that we are beyond thrilled to share with you!

It’s in the Details

Casey and Hayden are two of the sweetest people around! Once we met them and got a feel for what they envisioned for their big day, we knew it would be gorgeous, and have those details that make it “them”! Starting off with the girls and their getting ready PJs. Just classic with a drizzle of glam!  Another thing they did that we LOVE is their table names. Each table was named after a place that is special to Casey and Hayden, and the table had a photo of them in that location. So cute, and personal!

Hayden is a hockey player, so it was only right that the two of them left their wedding as the new Mr. and Mrs. Lavigne in their matching hockey jerseys!

That Moment

Ceremony time is when it all starts happening! All the planning has come together, and the big moments are starting. One that will always bring a tear to our eyes, and the eyes of every person in the Chapel is when those double doors open back up for the bride to walk down the aisle. Especially when a couple opts out of a “first look” like Casey and Hayden did. It is SO beautiful to watch a couple see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Like a little magic! Just look at these photos!

Summer of Love | Danielle and Braden

Mr. and Mrs. Ledebur!! Wow. We are, healthily, obsessed with Danielle and Braden’s summer wedding day. It was just *exactly* what you hope for on someone’s wedding day. Heartfelt, sentimental, full of love and FUN from the jump. You are going to LOVE it.

Perfect Summer Day

Wedding days at the venue are magical from start to finish. However, there is something extra special about being able to see a bride and her girls right when they arrive and get to be a part of their morning of pampering. The excitement is always high, and it really is the girl’s day of all girl’s days! And, let us tell you… these ladies were JAZZED to get their girl married. There was dancing on the tables, jumping on the couches and all the excitement you could dream of! One thing is certain, Danielle is a well-loved gal!

Best Part

This ceremony was EVERYTHING. Danielle’s dress was perfect, the wedding party looked stunning and every single person in the Chapel was beyond thrilled for the new Mr. and Mrs. Ledebur! Plus- look at those florals!

One thing we love is right after the ceremony- there is this moment where the bride and groom walk back down the aisle and they are SO happy. Their wedding party joins them one by one and they all celebrate together for a minute before the reception starts. It is one of the coolest things to watch. Usually, they ring the Chapel bell and everyone cheers and the couple celebrates being married with their favorite people! We absolutely love it!

Congratulations Danielle and Braden! We are so happy for you!
