The Most Magical Summer Wedding | Maddie and Ryan

Everyone, say hello to Maddie and Ryan, the new Mr. and Mrs. Hunt! We have been itching to share this magical summer wedding with you, and cannot say enough how incredible each and every detail, vendor, family member and guest at this wedding was. You are going to LOVE it.

The Most Magical Details

Right off the jump… we HAVE to tell you about the details in Maddie and Ryan’s decor. Every single moment of their ceremony, reception and decor were sooo well thought out and created the most beautiful wedding. For starters, their dance floor was the perfect anchoring touch to their reception. We are huge fans of a custom dance floor that anchors the room, and brings all of florals and decor together. It is just the perfect touch!

They also brought in the most beautiful seating chart! It was such a moment during cocktail hour, and the perfect teaser for what guests would see inside the main reception space. Once guests came inside, they saw the most incredible circular bar. This was a rental Maddie and Ryan brought in, that made sure the vibe they wanted for their wedding was in every corner of the venue.

THE Party

We knew one thing for sure throughout planning with Mr. and Mrs. Hunt and that is.. they were going to have a PARTY. And, they did! There were bottle service signs, crowd surfing, fog cannons, a saxophonist in the crowd and Whataburger as a late-night-snack! The dance floor was full all night long, and everyone was smiling from ear to ear until the very end.

To top it all off, Maddie and Ryan did a champagne send-off where they sprayed champagne on their way out! Just a little touch to keep the party going!

The Whole Package | Emily and Layton

We just cannot say enough nice things about this day, wedding, decor, vendor team… the whole package!! Emily and Layton really put their personalities into the decor. They also picked such an incredible vendor team to bring it all to life. You are all going to be so obsessed!

The Whole Package

Emily and Layton are a sweet couple! When we met them, we instantly knew they are in for a lifetime of fun and laughter. We also knew that their wedding would be one for the books! They had big big ideas and plans, and boy, did they bring them to life.

It was clear from the jump that these two are so loved. Their bridal party was thrilled beyond belief all day long. And, those flower girls have hearts in their eyes for Emily! Just check out the first look Emily did with those little girls, and your heart will absolutely be melted!

Every piece of this day is sooo thought out and intentional. The more you look at these photos, the more details you will find that will blow you away. Starting with the head table… talk about a stunner! We also are obsessed with their branded sliders served as a late-night snack, the cold sparks and all of the incredible custom signage! They really didn’t leave anything out when it came to planning their big day.

Cocktail Hour

Emily and Layton’s cocktail hour was DREAMY. It is not every day that we have a ton of rentals brought out to the turf for a fun and comfy cocktail hour. But, we were loving how this one turned out. They brought in two bars placed back-to-back and helped keep the lines down- BIG WIN. Then, they had some really cool rentals brought in that gave guests a great spot to relax during cocktail hour, and during the party if they needed a break. We see a lot of people mix and mingle on the turf once the party gets going, so definitely don’t think the only time people will be out there is during cocktail hour.

Congratulations Emily and Layton! Your wedding really was the whole package, and we are thrilled you are a French Farmhouse Couple!

The Sacco Club | Jenna and Tommy

Everyone, meet the new Mr. and Mrs. Sacco! Jenna and Tommy are such a cute and fun couple. It was so fun to watch their day come to life and to celebrate alongside them and their loved ones. You are all going to LOVE their wedding.

First Look and Private Vows

We want to start out by saying- we love the Saccos! They are such a sweet couple, and their wedding day was just as sweet as they are. Jenna and her girls rolled in early to do a little pampering and get ready together. As they were getting glammed, the vendor team was setting up.

It was so fun to see their day come together and watch all the special moments unfold. One moment we are still dying over is Tommy and Jenna’s first look! It was so beautiful and fun to watch Tommy see his bride. They were also SO intentional about how they would use the time together before their ceremony. They decided to take a few minutes, sit in front of The Chapel, and read their private vows. It could not have been a more special moment for them, and the photos will be an incredible reminder of their big day for many years to come.

Home Run

Baseball is a huge part of Jenna and Tommy’s lives since Tommy is a baseball player. It is only right that they had a few elements of their day that nodded at baseball! First, their seating chart. Every guest looking for their seat had a baseball with their name on it and the table number on the back.

We loved this because it is a little double-dipper. A beautiful custom seating chart, and a favor for guests! So cute and fun! The other custom element was the hats for the party. Jenna and Tommy had custom baseball hats made that they passed out to guests during the party. Not only were they so cute, but hats are tried and true. Guests of all ages love them and get excited about having them to take home.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Sacco! We are so happy for you!

Love and Laughter | Aubrey and Pryor

Say hello to the new Mr. and Mrs. Thomas! This blog will be all about Aubrey and Pryor’s big day, and let us tell you- this one will be FUN. You will not be disappointed by the details and will surely be smiling seeing pics of these two laughing together.

The Wedding Party Arrives

Aubrey and Pryor are nothing but an absolute joy to have around. Spending the day with them and having their energy running through the venue could not have been more fun. Aubrey and her girls came in and were ready to have a girl’s day for as long as possible! Once Pryor and his guys arrived, we knew we were in for some high-energy groomsmen, in the best way!  He was a college baseball player, so his groomsmen were a mix of his teammates and friends. They were a blast, and even their formal photos turned into them playing football on the turf in their suits! While we are always nervous that someone will rip their dress pants (it has absolutely happened before), these guys made it out unscathed.

A Life Filled with Laughter

The details of this day were *incredible*. Florals were the perfect blend of polished and that natural wildflower vibe. The china was a stunning vintage touch, the live strings in the chapel welcomed everyone in and the party was unreal. Everyone was on the dance floor, even a catering staff member got snagged by the bride and pulled onto the dance floor! After 4 years of weddings, one thing we have learned is that one universal sign of a good party is when the groom’s tie becomes a headband.. the proof is in the pudding on that one.

All of these details were stunning, but the absolute best part of Aubrey and Pryor’s wedding was seeing just how much fun these two had together. They are so playful and when they are together, odds are they are laughing.

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Thomas! We could not be happier for you, and are so grateful you’re a French Farmhouse Couple!

Perfect Pink Party | Payton and Cash

Today’s wedding is SUCH a treat!! We are so happy to share the new Mr. and Mrs. Conder’s big day with you all! Payton and Cash had one of the most beautiful and joyous days. We just know that you are all going to be obsessed. Be ready to pick your jaw up off the ground.

Pink!

Watching Payton and Cash’s big day come together could not have been more of a treat. They are both such fun, loving and happy people that we just knew their day would be bright, bold and just as fun as they are. From the get-go, we were proved right. Payton asked that all vendors wear pink! And, right when her and her best girls showed up everything was just such a blast. They rolled up in their bright, colorful PJs and were ready to party! One amazing thing we want to note is that Payton asked her mom to be her matron of honor!  Another little bonus is that two of her bridesmaids are former French Farmhouse Brides! How special is that?

As the morning went on, more and more vendors were doing their thing- WOW. The venue and chapel really came to life and transformed into Payton and Cash’s dream day. The pink vinyl checkerboard aisle and dance floor blew us away. That alongside Payton’s custom wedding dress and the small custom pieces placed around really transformed the space into a place that screamed Payton and Cash!

P-A-R-T-Y

After a stunning ceremony, it was time to PARTY. And, like every other piece of the day- the new Mr. and Mrs. Conder had a few tricks up their sleeves. First- there were some incredible live musicians playing at cocktail hour. We LOVE live music anywhere, anytime at the venue- it just adds so much ambiance. Second- as the party got going, the bridesmaids surprised everyone by heading up to the bridal suite balcony that overlooks the dance floor and throwing off some Conder snapback hats. And, let me tell you the crowd LOVED it.

And, a little icing on the cake… Payton and her girls did a cheer number for the crowd. Everyone was so excited and ate it up! To round out the night, they did a pom-pom send-off to match! It was incredible, and every moment screamed Payton and Cash!

Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Conder! It was so special to be the venue for your big day!

The Sweetest Details | Katie and Jeremy

Everyone, Meet the Millers! Katie and Jeremy had a wedding to die for! They are some of the sweetest people around, with one of the most Pinterest-worthy days. You are going to be OBSESSED with every tiny detail of their wedding.

How Sweet it is

The new Mr. and Mrs. Miller have to be some of the happiest people in the world. You could not have paid either of them to stop smiling! On top of that, every moment of their day was so perfectly picked for them. They took the time and had the special moments they really wanted. From their first look to their send-off, there really wasn’t a second wasted or a moment that didn’t make a stunning and memorable moment. One thing we really loved was how they had their families come up to the altar during the ceremony and they prayed together. It was such a beautiful moment to watch, and you could really tell how much it meant to them and their family.

Take a Moment for the Details

If we have said it once, we have said it a thousand times. Seeing how each couple transforms the venue is priceless. Everybody is different, and each couple has moments and pieces that are important to them. Katie and Jeremy really put in the work and had the sweetest, most memorable details. There were beautiful programs on seats in the chapel, stunning flowers lining the aisle and once the guests headed over to the venue for cocktail hour they had the seating chart that dreams are made of. They truly thought of everything, and you will see even more small moments as you look through the photos. Absolutely beautiful. (Also- keep an eye out for a furry four-legged friend taking a bite out of the cake)

Timeless Spring Wedding | Kelsey and Jake

We are thrilled to share this stunning spring wedding with you all! Kelsey and Jake are one of the happiest, sweetest couples around and it really showed throughout their day. You can just see their joy in these photos, and let us tell you- it is infectious!

Beautiful Spring Day

The decor of this wedding. Unreal. Kelsey had such a timeless and classic vision, but she threw in some color for a little extra life, and WOW. This was one of our first real Spring weddings of this year, and it is just magical. We may be a little biased, but spring is a really magical time at the Farmhouse. Everything is green, our cows have had babies and it really all just comes together and you can see your decor POP. We love that Kelsey and Jake jumped on it and had a spring wedding, even if it meant the boys watching The Masters from the groom’s room in their suits. Thanks for taking one for the team, guys!

Incredible People

The new Mr. and Mrs. Wear are some of the loveliest people around! We are definitely partial, but we have the nicest couples. Kelsey and Jake were so excited for their wedding day, and they didn’t take a single moment for granted. They came in fully ready to enjoy the day with their wedding party, and ready to celebrate the night with all of their loved ones. It was so special to see just how excited everyone that came through the venue was. Every single bridesmaid and groomsmen were on cloud nine, right along with Kelsey and Jake. It is so heartwarming to see our couples crew rally and celebrate alongside them.

Congratulations Kelsey and Jake! We are so thankful you are a Farmhouse Couple!

Magical Day with the Swanson’s | Rheagan & James

The new Mr. and Mrs. Swanson had a MAGICAL day. Rheagan and James created such a stunning day and really had a blast here at the Farmhouse. They sprinkled in some really fun and stunning moments in their day, that added so much.

Magical Morning with the Girls

We love when the girls get here in the morning. They are always so so excited to be here and spend the day relaxing and glamming with each other. Everyone always looks so gorgeous, and really makes the most of the day. On this particular day, there might have been one tiny girl that was AMPED about being “one of the girls.” You will see just how excited this flower girl was. She could not contain herself. She brought the energy we want everyone to have on a wedding day. Straight-up hyped.

The First Touch

Rheagan and James had one of the most special moments we have seen in a while. In place of a “first look”, the two of them decided they wanted to do a “first touch.” If not seeing each other is really important, then this was a beautiful option. They had a quiet moment to themselves, where they read each other letters that they had written to each other. Such a special moment to have with each other, and to be able to look back on for all the years to come.

It’s all Smiles | Audrey and Colton

The new Mr. and Mrs. Albracht had an INCREDIBLE wedding. The Farmhouse was alive with them, their bridal party and loved ones. Truly such a special day for some really special people. It was smiles all around. We are so thrilled to be able to call them a Farmhouse Couple.

Get Ready in Style

Audrey and Colton did everything in style. Right down to every detail. We could not have been more impressed with how thoughtful their day was. From the get-go, it was clear it was going to be a stunning day. When Audrey and her girls filed in, we were in love with their cute matching PJ sets. However, what really threw it over-the-top, was how the drinks they were toasting with, matched their jammies. I mean.. c’mon. How cute! We really love seeing the girls come in and be so comfortable in the bridal suite, and there supporting their girls. It is pretty magical.

What we don’t get to see photo-proof of very often, is the groom and his guys relaxing and hanging out in the groom’s room! These guys were LOVING it. Playing video games, and just hanging out together. We love to see it!

It’s All Smiles

Audrey might have been one of the happiest people of all time, her smile never left her face. She lit the whole venue right up. You can tell how intentional she was with her big day,  and what was important to her. One thing her and Colton did that was so special, was have framed photos on the porch mantle of their loved ones that could only be there in spirit.

They also had a beautiful indoor ceremony in front of the three-ring-door. Then, had a reception to remember. This group threw down on the dance floor. It is rare that every person is on the dance floor, but this group was darn close! Everyone was so hyped for the Albracht’s, and boy it showed just how loved they are.

Tips by Kels

After being officially open for a year, I have gotten to experience SO many weddings, and seen SO many different hurdles my couples have overcome. Here are a few tips I have gathered throughout our first year, and I think would be helpful for any bride planning her big day. Disclaimer: These are just my opinions. Do what is right for you, and your wedding!

This Seems Simple … Hire good vendors and trust them to bring your wedding day dreams to life.

1. A Month of Coordinator (otherwise known as a “day of”) is a must! A good planner will keep everything organized, be in tune with your family dynamics, create your wedding timeline and keep everything on track. They will also create your floorplan, communicate with all vendors, successfully get you and your bridal party down the aisle, and take care of any problems that occur, big or small, and most likely you won’t even know about it. And, that is only scratching the surface of what they do. Remember if you have a family member doing this job they will most likely be a seated guest. If you will have over 150 guests I recommend your planner have an assistant.

2. A good caterer that serves and busses the food. Having a crew that clears all the trash, plates and tables is a huge help to all family members, your bridal party and vendors.

3. One Bartender per every 50 guests will help avoid lines and guests waiting.

4. Remember that your Planner, Photographer, and DJ will keep everything on time and on track.

Water! This is most often forgotten and needed, especially at the end of the night!

  • I know alcohol is on everyone’s mind, but trust me. Throwing in several packs of water will be a huge hit at the end of the night. Especially after everyone has been tearing it up on the dance floor.

Tidy up the bridal suite before the photographer arrives

  • This will help to avoid any trash in the background of any photos (Hello, Anthropologie mirrors galore). It will also save time, avoid stress and cut down on lost items at the end of the night when trying to clean up!

Table Numbers

  • It is important to have table numbers, or table names, at every table even if you don’t do a seating chart. This helps the planner and your DJ release tables to the buffet line. However, I always recommend a seating chart. I know it’s more time on the front end, but when it comes time for dinner everyone has a seat. It makes guests less obligated to pull up chairs wherever they want to be close to friends.

Have an end-of-the-night plan!

  • Who is taking what, what vendors are coming back and what is all to be thrown away? This means rentals (plates, napkins, linens), florals, leftover food and cake, and any personal decor you brought in. I recommend assigning different people different tasks. That way mother and father of the bride aren’t taking everything. In most cases, they won’t have room.

Remember … Just my opinion take it or leave it … No kids besides immediate family.

  • Oftentimes times I find myself just watching parents chase their very very tired, way-passed-bedtime, sugar-overdosed kids everywhere. More often than not, they look at me and are like, “Boy… I should have gotten a sitter.” You want your family and friends to have fun, and I can guarantee that the little nugget won’t remember it. You want your family and friends to have fun!

Money-Saving tip .. Use bridesmaid’s bouquets as extra centerpieces on tables.

  • Typically after ceremony photos, the beautiful bridesmaid’s bouquets (that aren’t cheap) just get thrown down or left up in the bridal suite. Put the vases on the table and after photos are done during cocktail hour just have the bridesmaids pop them in the vases on the table for some extra “wow factor”.

Wonderful day with longtime friends

The cool thing about 2021 .. no rules! Make your wedding day about you and your groom!

  • Whether you want alpacas at your cocktail hour (we really had alpacas at a cocktail hour once) or no dance party. Make your wedding the wedding of YOUR dreams.

Create a wedding email early and do all your wedding planning through that email so nothing gets lost!

  • Example: BecomingTheJohnsons@gmail.com

Get your wedding insurance.

  • Things happen, we require liability insurance but will always recommend getting cancelation insurance as well.

Skip the wedding favors!

  • These just all get left at the end of the night and are just more stuff for Mom and Dad to take home. Do a late-night snack instead. These are a huge hit!! There is nothing like a chocolate chip cookie for the drive home late at night.

Skip the Programs!

  • These all just get left out on the ceremony chairs! Have a sign on an easel with the timeline to let guests know the plan for the night. It saves a lot of pick-up at the end of the night. If you want guests to receive something when they arrive I would have a champagne truck or champagne wall. ( of course with TABC servers)

Get your wedding day “things” organized in advance so you don’t have to worry about it on the day of.

  • Have your security officer’s cash, any vendor tips or payments ready in envelopes so you don’t have to stress about it.

Feed your Girls!

  • Typically the girls get to the bridal suite around 9 AM to start getting ready! That is at least a 15-hour day. Make sure to take care of your best girls with breakfast and lunch! Most do Chick-fil-A trays or cheese boards. Both are always a hit!!

Take as many pictures as you can before the ceremony!

  • If you are anything like me, you are going to want to go celebrate with your family and friends as soon as possible. Even if you are not doing a first look, take as many photos as you can with your family, bridesmaids, and the groom with his family and groomsmen before your ceremony. That will cut down on the time you are taking photos after your ceremony and before your reception.

Don’t sweat the small stuff or lose sight of what’s happening

  • You’re getting married! Have fun and soak it all in!
