A Rainy Fourth of July | Campbell and Charles

Well, well, happy Wednesday, everyone! We are still reminiscing on how incredible our summer of weddings was. Fall is off to an *incredible* start, but we do want to throw it back to our rainy Fourth of July for Campbell and Charles’ wedding!

Mr. and Mrs. Cash

Every wedding is beautiful and special, but holiday weddings tend to kick it up a notch. This Fourth of July wedding was no exception!

Her and her groom, Charles, also really took the time and invested in the right things to have a beautiful and memorable wedding. First- the band! The incredible Jordan Kahn Orchestra Manhattan Band played their wedding reception, and let us tell you- the dance floor was PACKED all night long. They never disappoint!

They also had the most jaw-dropping florals that were perfect for a summer bash! Then, moving right along to their cakes… the main cake was gorgeous, as expected! And to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Cash… the groom’s cake was covered in cash money. So fun!

Rain, Rain

Their wedding was so beautiful and heartwarming. It started with Campbell’s brother walking her down the aisle. A moment that didn’t leave a dry eye in the house, but was so incredible to be a part of.

To everyone’s surprise, it started raining almost immediately after ceremony started. Once ceremony was finished and guests were walking to cocktail hour, the rain just poured and poured. Thankfully, Campbell wasn’t going to be stopped. When her photo + video team asked, “Do you still want to take photos outside?” she was 100% game. Nothing was going to stop her! Thank goodness, too, because now they have the most stunning, rainy-day wedding photos to look back on.

We really could go on and on about how amazing this wedding is, and how incredible Campbell, Charles, their friends and family are. Congratulations, you guys! We are thrilled for you and so grateful you are a French Farmhouse Couple!

High School Sweethearts Tie the Knot | Ella and Austin

Say a big, “Hello” to Ella and Austin, the brand new Mr. and Mrs. Morrow!! These two had the most beautiful day full of love, and it was really a team effort to bring their day to life. You are going to be OBSESSED with the details of their day, and we cannot wait to share them with you!!

High School Sweethearts

Ella and Austin are such a sweet couple! They were high school sweethearts and then went to college together at UT Austin. To say this has been a long time coming would be such an understatement! It showed in the best way possible, since Ella and Austin’s bridal party was large with 28 of their high school friends! All 30 of them grew up together! How special is that?!

Magic Around Every Corner

The details of this day are so incredible! When we started meeting with Ella and Austin, it was apparent that they wanted to have custom details and special touches everywhere their guests looked. From the jump, guests were greeted by a custom welcome sign and water station, which is such a nice way to welcome your guests! The florals really stopped the show- as guests entered the chapel, their jaws dropped! For cocktail hour, they had custom drink cups, cocktail napkins and drink flags. For reception, there was the most insane UT tower cake! Everyone was in awe!!

And, the surprises kept coming! As guests danced the night away, they were handed late-night Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits. Truly one of the best ways to end the night!

Congratulations, Ella and Austin! We are so thrilled for you!!

Magic in the Details | Alexis and Hudson

Boy, we had a BUSY season of summer weddings! They were all so magical and so special. We are going to soak in the summer vibes just a *little* bit more by sharing Alexis and Hudson’s big day!

Family Magic

To say Alexis and Hudson’s day was magical is such an understatement! They have two of the sweetest, most loving families and it was incredible to see everyone come together to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Yarborough! From the jump, everyone was so excited to be there and excited to help make their big day come to life. It was a busy morning, but the joy they all brought into the venue made it so special and wonderful. There really is nothing like watching all of a couple’s loved ones come together and bring the day to life!

Dance, Dance

Listen… we just cannot stop thinking about the details from this day! Alexis and Hudson really took the time and energy to have thoughtful and striking details. Off the jump… the dance floor. Come. On. We love love love seeing a fun dance floor design! It is just the right touch and adds that extra little moment to your reception space. Especially, to your first dance photos!! They also had a really fun mocktail bar with specialty drinks for all of their guests to enjoy! It was the most amazing option for their day since they weren’t serving alcohol at all.

Once the party got rolling, it didn’t stop! At one point, Hudson was even in the booth and then next thing we know… Alexis is crowd surfing! Everyone had such an amazing time, and we could not have loved being a part of it more.

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Yarborough! You guys were such a treat, and we are going to miss you!!

The Most Magical Summer Wedding | Maddie and Ryan

Everyone, say hello to Maddie and Ryan, the new Mr. and Mrs. Hunt! We have been itching to share this magical summer wedding with you, and cannot say enough how incredible each and every detail, vendor, family member and guest at this wedding was. You are going to LOVE it.

The Most Magical Details

Right off the jump… we HAVE to tell you about the details in Maddie and Ryan’s decor. Every single moment of their ceremony, reception and decor were sooo well thought out and created the most beautiful wedding. For starters, their dance floor was the perfect anchoring touch to their reception. We are huge fans of a custom dance floor that anchors the room, and brings all of florals and decor together. It is just the perfect touch!

They also brought in the most beautiful seating chart! It was such a moment during cocktail hour, and the perfect teaser for what guests would see inside the main reception space. Once guests came inside, they saw the most incredible circular bar. This was a rental Maddie and Ryan brought in, that made sure the vibe they wanted for their wedding was in every corner of the venue.

THE Party

We knew one thing for sure throughout planning with Mr. and Mrs. Hunt and that is.. they were going to have a PARTY. And, they did! There were bottle service signs, crowd surfing, fog cannons, a saxophonist in the crowd and Whataburger as a late-night-snack! The dance floor was full all night long, and everyone was smiling from ear to ear until the very end.

To top it all off, Maddie and Ryan did a champagne send-off where they sprayed champagne on their way out! Just a little touch to keep the party going!

Timeless AND Unique | Ally and Drew

We cannot say enough about Ally and Drew’s big day! It was everything you would want in a colorful summer wedding. They created the perfect blend of timeless and unique, and we just know you are going to LOVE it, and them!

Delightful and Timeless

Ally and Drew are two of the most delightful people around! They came into the venue on the day of their wedding and were nothing but joyful… some of the easiest people to celebrate! And, every person they had at or in their wedding was just as delightful.

One sweet moment we want to tell you about is when Drew gave Ally her wedding gift! Ally is a photographer herself, so he decided to get her a new camera. He did a little coordinating with their incredible photo team and had them take the first photos on her camera, so when she opened it, there were photos of her on her wedding day waiting for her. How special is that?!

Rentals and Custom Touches

The details of this wedding are absolutely stunning! Every inch of the venue was transformed, and we loved every second of it. Starting with their reception, they brought in table and chair rentals! They used some incredible rattan chairs and long banquet tables to elevate the space. Because they were having a band, they had a really amazing custom dance floor that brought in the rattan pattern as a border.

Over at the ceremony,  they had a vinyl aisle runner in the rattan pattern, and florals that stole the show. At the back of the Chapel, where the aisle started, they had big baskets full of their incredible flowers. Lining the aisle were clusters of hydrangeas, all leading towards the altar, where there were even more amazing florals.

Truthfully, we cannot get over this wedding and all of the details. We could go on for HOURS.

Sweet and Homey | Kaitlyn and Garrett

Happy May, everyone! We can just taste all of the incredible summer weddings we are going to have this year, and cannot wait. Today, we wanted to share with you Kaitlyn and Garrett’s big day. The brand new Mr. and Mrs. Olskers were SO sweet and had such a beautiful day full of love. It was stunning and we are thrilled to share it with you!

How Sweet it is

Wedding days are such a treat! After a year, sometimes more, of knowing a couple it is so so fun to see them on their wedding day and meet all of their loved ones. And, let us say… Kaitlyn is surrounded by the sweetest and most supportive girls. Each one of them was beyond happy and excited to get their girl married. You will see when you take a peek at their first look!! So fun!

Another moment that could bring tears to your eyes is Kaitlyn and Garrett’s first touch and private vows. The photos are enough for us to get misty-eyed!!

Stunning and Cozy Florals

Kaitlyn and Garrett had some of the most beautiful florals! Their ceremony arrangements were really showstoppers. We are seeing more and more potted arrangements, and are LOVING them. They are so beautiful and add a homey touch. We also love how they had them on pedestals for some dimension. So stunning! A bonus is that potted plants are easy to relocate. Moving them from ceremony to reception was an absolute breeze!

Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Olskers! We are thrilled for you both and are so happy you are a French Farmhouse Couple!

The Whole Package | Emily and Layton

We just cannot say enough nice things about this day, wedding, decor, vendor team… the whole package!! Emily and Layton really put their personalities into the decor. They also picked such an incredible vendor team to bring it all to life. You are all going to be so obsessed!

The Whole Package

Emily and Layton are a sweet couple! When we met them, we instantly knew they are in for a lifetime of fun and laughter. We also knew that their wedding would be one for the books! They had big big ideas and plans, and boy, did they bring them to life.

It was clear from the jump that these two are so loved. Their bridal party was thrilled beyond belief all day long. And, those flower girls have hearts in their eyes for Emily! Just check out the first look Emily did with those little girls, and your heart will absolutely be melted!

Every piece of this day is sooo thought out and intentional. The more you look at these photos, the more details you will find that will blow you away. Starting with the head table… talk about a stunner! We also are obsessed with their branded sliders served as a late-night snack, the cold sparks and all of the incredible custom signage! They really didn’t leave anything out when it came to planning their big day.

Cocktail Hour

Emily and Layton’s cocktail hour was DREAMY. It is not every day that we have a ton of rentals brought out to the turf for a fun and comfy cocktail hour. But, we were loving how this one turned out. They brought in two bars placed back-to-back and helped keep the lines down- BIG WIN. Then, they had some really cool rentals brought in that gave guests a great spot to relax during cocktail hour, and during the party if they needed a break. We see a lot of people mix and mingle on the turf once the party gets going, so definitely don’t think the only time people will be out there is during cocktail hour.

Congratulations Emily and Layton! Your wedding really was the whole package, and we are thrilled you are a French Farmhouse Couple!

Something Borrowed Something Blue | Caroline and Parker

Happy April, everyone! We are just soaking up all of these incredible spring weddings before summer is here. Today, we are sharing the *incredible* wedding of Caroline and Parker, the new Mr. and Mrs. Stroman, if you will! Their day was so beautiful, blue and full of love, and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you!

How Sweet It Is

From the jump on Caroline and Parker’s wedding day, it was crystal clear that they have some of he loveliest family and friends. These two are SO loved. Every member of their wedding party, every family member and guest, were grinning from ear to ear. Each person was so excited to celebrate these two, and that is so magical. It is always such a gift to meet our couple’s friends and family after months, sometimes even years, of knowing them.  Seeing everyone supporting them as they enter the next chapter of their lives is so special!

Something Blue

Caroline and Parker really created such a beautiful and timeless ambiance for their wedding. We LOVED how they mixed blue and green in their decor and mirrored it in their florals. It was so beautiful! One little pro tip for you all is: repurpose your florals!

When you are working with your planner and floral companies, chat about how you can reuse and repurpose floral arrangements from the ceremony to the reception. For Caroline and Parker’s wedding, they took the aisle pieces and had them moved to dinner tables. They made for the perfect touch in their ceremony and a stunning centerpiece. Win-Win!!

Every Last Detail | Mackenzie and Ray

When we say you are going to have to pick your jaw up off the ground after seeing this wedding… we absolutely mean it. Every last detail and every moment of Mackenzie and Ray’s big day was just so stunning. To say we were counting down the seconds until we could get their album is a massive understatement.

Ready-to-Roll

First, we have to tell you how fun Mackenzie and Ray are! These two have smiles wherever they go, and came to the venue on their day ready to have the best day. We could just feel it when we met them- they were going to have a *party* for their wedding.

Once they were here and the incredible vendor team started bringing out all of the details… we could not get enough. Every piece of the day was so well thought-out and represented who they are so perfectly! Their escort cards, for example, were horseshoes! So cute, AND Mackenzie happens to be an equestrian. The escort cards were the perfect nod to her and one of her passions.

Every Moment and Every Last Detail

There are too many elements of this day that we want to point out!! Their reception was an absolute DREAM. First, the custom dance floor had their monogram on it. This is the same monogram that was on their invitations! We love touch because we always say your invitation will set the tone for your wedding. So, it was nice to tie it all together.

Their place settings were also something to see! We are OBSESSED with the china they used, and the menus they had at each place. It was so beautiful, and unique! We don’t see the menus that fit into plates very often, and it is a beautiful, subtle, touch.

Lastly, there is absolutely no way that we could wrap this blog up without acknowledging the florals. To say we were amazed, stunned, floored, obsessed… a total understatement. There is something about the cascading florals that add SO much to the room and catch everyone’s eye. Truly, every last detail of this wedding was incredible!

Congratulations, Mackenzie and Ray! We are so thrilled for you, and are so happy you are a French Farmhouse Couple!

Planning Timeline: When to book your Vendors!

Wedding Planning can be so daunting! There are a million decisions and a million vendors to consider. It is SO hard to know how to prioritize and when you should be booking each vendor.

Here is a little guide to help you know the best order and timeline for booking each vendor.

Venue

Why first? Your venue will set the date, location and style of your wedding. All of this information is important for booking the rest of your vendors!

For reference: The French Farmhouse books dates up to two years in advance.

When to book: 12-18 months before the wedding.

Planner/Coordinator

*reminder that the French Farmhouse requires you to have at least a day-off coordinator*

Why next? A wedding planner will help streamline the rest of the process and be able to guide you toward reliable vendors.

When to book: 12-16 months before the wedding.

Photographer and Videographer

Why now? Top photographers and videographers book quickly. These vendors are SO important for capturing your memories. They also won’t, typically, do more than one wedding a day. There are exceptions to this rule, as some photographers have a small, trusted team. However, unless you are booking a photo company, it is safe to assume that they will only allot one wedding per day.

When to book: 10-14 months before the wedding.

Caterer

Why now? The French Farmhouse does not have an in-house catering team, so booking now ensures they will have availability for your day. This will also allow time for tastings and menu planning!

When to book: 9-12 months before the wedding.

Entertainment (Band/DJ)

Why now? Entertainment often sets the vibe for your wedding day, and the best options book quickly. A DJ does so much more than just play music; they will emcee your event and spend a lot of time chatting to your guests. You want to be sure that you snag your favorite!

When to book: 8-12 months before the wedding.

Florist

Why now? Your floral design will rely a lot on your venue, style and other decor decisions. It is best to have those ironed out and to have an idea of what you are looking for before you book your florist.

When to book: 8-10 months before the wedding.

Hair and Makeup Artists

Why now? Top stylists, especially those specializing in weddings, can book months in advance. You will want to book the artists you want as quickly as possible!

When to book: 6-9 months before the wedding.

Rentals/Decor (if needed)

Why now? If you are adding specialty furniture, linens, or props, book early to ensure availability.

When to book: 6-8 months before the wedding.

Officiant

Why now? Some officiants book early, especially for popular wedding dates. If you know someone personally who you’d like to officiate, they will likely be more available. If you are hiring through a company, this is the perfect time to reach out!

When to book: 6-8 months before the wedding.

Cake/Dessert

Why now? Bakers usually take orders months in advance, especially for custom designs.

When to book: 4-6 months before the wedding.

Stationery

Why now? Order invitations early to allow time for design, printing and mailing. Sometimes, it will take more time than you anticipate because you will have edits and need to wait on turnaround time from your designer.

When to book: 4-6 months before the wedding.

Transportation

Why now? By this time, you will know if you have room in your budget for transportation and if you will be needing it for more than just the couple. Book vehicles for the couple, bridal party, and guests, if necessary.

When to book: 3-6 months before the wedding.

Favors and Final Touches

Why last? These can be planned closer to the date, depending on your budget and theme.

When to book: 1-3 months before the wedding.
